The other day, I brought you the story of a university student who was suspended for not stomping on the written name “JESUS”.  Now, just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, another story has come my way – this one is so weird, and so propagandistic, that it overshadows the previous one.

WHAT A DISASTER: This is what it looks like to be Brainwashed - students in a Massachusetts school perform a play that mocks the Bible
Get this: a public charter school in Massachusetts has preformed a pro-homosexual play that utterly ridicules the Bible.  Famous stories are ‘bent’, as it were, so that Adam and Eve become ‘Adam and Steve’, a rhinoceros gets ‘horny’ in the Ark, and Mary argues that she can’t be pregnant, because she is a lesbian ‘bull-dyke’.  Indeed, the Lord does work in mysterious ways.

But of course, this is not the Lord’s work – it is, instead, the work of Paul Rudnick, who released the ‘comedy’ back in 1998.

There were protests regarding the play’s performance in the school.  Students, parents and even the president of the school’s board of trustees raised their concerns that the play is explicitly disrespectful to Christianity.

As you can imagine, the proclaimed ‘academics’ (which means they must know everything there is to know) have disregarded the voice of the majority.  The play’s director said that ‘Although it’s full of jokes – some of them at the expense of religious fundamentalism – the play, is, at its heart, a thoughtful investigation of the meaning of faith and family.’  And William Newman, director of the Western Massachusetts office of the American Civil Liberties Union, said, “The highest function of art is to make people think and talk and consider and be challenged.  This play seems to fill the aspirations and goals of art.’

There you have it – the human race is mentally shrinking to such an extent, that supposedly intelligent people actually hold up a horny rhino and a lesbian Virgin as ‘art’.

Mr. Newman, how does turning the name Eve into ‘Steve’ make me ‘consider and challenge’ the Holy Bible?  Come to think of it, I am a bit challenged.  If Adam and Eve were actually ‘Adam and Steve’, how could they have had ‘Jane and Mable’ (the play’s version of Cain and Abel)?  It seems to me that the focus of this play is not asking serious questions concerning Holy Scripture; it is rather to laugh out loud at Judeo-Christian stories and ideas.  As usual, the Educational Elite that run the world think their silly ideas are ‘high art’, and allow us to comprehend the world.  Great Expectations and 1984 raise questions and make us think, an obscene comedy that throws derogatory language into the Bible story does not.

I beg to ask: how can these poor students (and I use the word ‘poor’ because I feel sorry for them, as I will feel sorry for any powerless individual who is being brainwashed by the State) learn anything from this BS?  It hasn’t used the Bible to combat religious views on homosexuality, instead it has rewritten the Bible – *that is not how you build an argument*

If people want to write plays that ‘attack’ the Bible, fine – but at least try to be smart about it.  Even so, such a play should still not be shown in a school.  Why?  Because it is highly controversial and highly divisive – schools should teach kids how to read and write and do math.  They should cover important historical events that shaped our world, and then allow their students to form their own opinions, instead of having it fed to them in the form of a petty little play entitled ‘The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told’ (well, it was until this came along).

As far as I am concerned, the Most Rev. Timothy A. McDonnell could not have put it better: ‘I didn’t know it was the responsibility of charter schools to teach religious bigotry.’
